10 Things People May Not Know About Me

So I was tagged forever ago to post 10 things people may not know about me...so here goes. But let me first say that I'm not a very interesting person so this may be boring, but I'll see what I can come up with.

1. I have been skydiving twice.
2. I don't have a middle name.
3. I could spend hours in a burning hot shower but any other time I despise being hot.
4. I have had 7 surgeries (tubes in my ears, tonsuls out, and a c-section).
5. I am addicted to Sara Lee Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream.
6. Because of #5, I work out like a mad woman-running 7 miles Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sat and working my butt off at the body pump class Tues and Thurs.
7. I absolutely hate cleaning floors.
8. I am terrified terrified terrified of spiders or anything creepy and crawly.
9. I have never in my life been stung by a bee (everyone tells you to stand still-ya right, RUN!)
10. I dated 24 guys before marrying my wonderful husband. =) He's the best for sure!

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow

So we're home now, we got in last night at 3am so we're all a bit tired and cranky in this house! We had a great second half of the week though and I thought I'd put up some more pics of our week in Oregon.

Monday we took the boys to go feed the ducks which is a favorite pastime of my family's. The boys were laughing hysterically at the ducks and Josh was saying quack quack to all of them. Jackson, however, was more interested in the bread. He wanted to eat it himself and not share with the ducks.

So since Jack wouldn't stop eating the bread we decided we better go get them some dinner so we took them to Paddington's pizza where they each got a balloon which they loved. Josh has learned to say balloon and it's probably my favorite word he says. Right before we left Utah we checked our mail and we got a valentine in the mail from Grandma Morrill, but only Josh's came! Stupid mailman. Anyways, in it there was a balloon which we saved and blew up at the end of our drive to Oregon when the boys were reached the end of their patience. Well, it popped after about 20 minutes and Josh was just devastated. The whole hour drive we heard, "BALLOOOOOOOOON!" "BALLOOOOOOOON!" So when we got to the pizza place and saw balloons the boys were thrilled!

Tuesday my mom went to work so I spent the day with some friends from high school (well I guess Daisha is more of a childhood friend also seeing as we played together pretty much everyday all through elementary school, haha.) I got together with Keri, Daisha, and Amanda at Keri's house and it was SO fun! It was so fun to see them and their precious kids! We had 8 kids and 4 adults, haha. I had a great time talking to them and watching all the kids interact. Thanks girls for a fun afternoon!

Ok so what's cute about this picture is that we did not tell them to hug eachother, they just did it on their own. They used to just tilt their heads into eachother for a hug, now they wrap their arms around eachother just randomly and it's too precious! Someday they'll hate this picture, but as a mommy, I couldn't think of a cuter picture!

So of course we had to take them to the carousel, last time they weren't too sure about it but this time they loved it!

Last but not least, Parker and I were able to get away for a late Valentine's Day celebration. My wonderful parents watched the boys so we could go to the coast for a night! Parker surprised me and planned the whole thing. We had a yummy dinner at Kyllos then walked the beach for over an hour. Get this...60 degrees and not a cloud in the sky, in February on the Oregon coast! We could not have asked for a better day. Then he took me to our hotel which was amazing to say the least. It was called Starfish Manor and we got the romantic suite. King bed, rose petals, jacuzzi overlooking the gorgeous ocean, fireplace, two headed shower, ah it was wonderful! We kept the door open at night and listened to the ocean waves all night. Living in Utah for so long I'd forgotten how much I love the coast and how much I miss it! We woke up and took another walk on the beach (but this time the tide was super high and I got a little wet) then had breakfast then headed back to Salem. It was a getaway I'll never forget, I love my husband so much and being alone with him in that setting made me the happiest girl in the world.

That night we went to dinner with my grandparents and my parents-with no kids! THANK YOU Auntie Nicole for watching them for us!!! We went to the Roadhouse and had a great time, my grandparents never fail to give us a laugh!!

So we drove home alllllll day yesterday which was long and miserable but the boys were good and we are so glad we went. Thanks mom and dad for an awesome week!

We Love Oregon!!!

So Parker has a week off of law school (a much needed break for him) so we decided to drive up to Oregon to see Grandma and Grandpa Barraclough! We just love it here, as soon as we pulled into Portland Parker said..."Jenn, I don't know what it is, but I just love it here! Can we never go back to Utah?" Haha, I would absolutely love that but I would miss my friends and family there! Especially Grandma and Grandpa Morrill! Anyways, don't worry, we'll be back on Friday-it's just a lovely thought to be able to stay here. My mom and I got a pedicure on Saturday which was wonderful! I forgot to get a pic but just so everyone knows, I have cute toes and had a blast with my mom! We also went into Roth's and Great Harvest with flip flops and those toe divider things in our toes, we looked hilarious but at least we didn't mess up our polish! My poor dad just had knee replacement surgery so he is miserable but still playing with the boys, they love him so much-all they say is bampa bampa. So the boys have had lots of fun enjoying the 60 degree weather and total sunshine! We're going to feed the ducks and play at the park today but here are some pics of our time here so far...

Saturday night I went out with two of my wonderful friends, Karen and Katie, so Parker and my parents were home watching the boys. My mom made popcorn for them and they just LOVED it! Might I also mention that they stayed up till about 10pm that night! Spoiler Grandma!

They did good in nursery on Sunday, their favorite toy was the vacuum cleaner! Haha. Here is a pic of them in their church clothes...

Monday morning Parker and I went to the gym while my mom watched the boys...she put them right to work! Haha, the boys loved helping her with laundry!

They also had fun helping Grandma cook her yummy potatoes!

One thing I love about my parent's house is the deck...it's huge and enclosed so the boys can go in and out all day and be happy as can be! They've tried to escape, trying to slide under the gate, they'll never fit but they keep trying!

Sorry this is such a long post, and it might bore some people, but we're having fun here and the boys are being so cute! I'll put one more post up of the second half of our trip later this week. =)

Boys Just Wanna Have Fun

So while Justina and I were out partying it up the husbands and the boys were home having fun. Jackson and Josh love having Aiden come over to play! Aiden is the cutest little boy because he has this perma cheese ball grin on his face that just makes me laugh every time. It was difficult to get them all to pose for a picture but this was the best we could do, but they are all holding hands! Notice the chocolate all over their mouths, the daddies let them walk all around the house with chocolate chip cookies, you can imagine the mess! Haha. We also taught them ring around the rosies and it was precious watching the three of them hold hands and attempt to move in a circle. Haha.

So every time we open the fridge our boys run and climb into it, it's so fun for them for some reason. It's annoying but cute at the same time. Well last night Jackson and Josh were standing in the fridge then Aiden came and squeezed in the middle, as you can tell from the picture the twins weren't all that excited about the third body! Haha, good picture moment though!

Girls Night Out!!!

So tonight was a wonderful night...NO babies and NO husbands! Don't get me wrong, I love my husband and I absolutely love my twins but, c'mon, girls night out is a much needed event! Justina and I went out to dinner and shopping and we had a blast! I ate too much and spent too much on my new SEVEN jeans (thank you Justina) but it was way fun. Our wonderful husbands stayed home and watched all the boys and it sounds like they had fun also. So we decided once a month, we're going out, kid free and hubby free! Yay! Notice in the picture how beautiful prego Justina is!? =)

Snug as a Bug in a Rug

So one of my favorite times of the day is bath time for two reasons, number one it's the only time the boys can't follow me around everywhere I go and number two they are SO cute in the tub playing together. They always make eachother laugh by splashing and playing peek a book with the shower curtain. I love it. So I get one out of the tub and wrap them snug as a bug in their super warm cozy nice soft towels that Grandma Barraclough got for them and put them on the changing table. Then I go and get the other one and when I bring them in they both smile SO big at eachother, I don't know why, but it is the best part of my day because it reminds me how close they are as twins, brothers, and friends and it just melts my heart every morning watching them grin from ear to ear at eachother.

Daddy's Little Helpers!

So Parker is putting up a new kitchen light for us today and the boys thought they would be lots of help so daddy gave them each a screw driver (but of course they still want the one the other one has) and they are going around the house "fixing" things. It's so cute because they have watched Parker use the screwdriver to put batteries in their toys so they keep turning over all their toys and trying to unscrew the battery part. They are so smart! In this picture they are "fixing" the vent, haha. The other picture was from a few nights ago when they were "fixing" their phone.

Big Boys!!!

They think they are so funny when they stand up and say, "big boy!" They really are big boys...this week they managed to draw on our wall, pull an entire box of q-tips out on the floor, pull out 4 drawers of clothes, and stuff my 51 disk CD player full of toys. But, for some reason, I still love them!
