Romantic Weekend in Boise!

Ah...Boise, Idaho...romance capitol of the United States.  Haha, not really, but since we were headed out there for a family trip to McCall, Idaho we decided to make a little getaway out of it.  My parents flew us out there for an adults only week long vacation in McCall.  The trip was Sunday through Sunday but, because of a prior committment with a church thing, we had to come back Friday so we decided to fly out to Boise the Friday before and spend a little weekend alone before all the family time.  THANKS TO MY WONDERFUL MOTHER IN LAW AND SISTER IN LAW FOR FLYING OUT AND WATCHING MY BOYS!!!

Here we are at the airport saying goodbye, I got really teary eyed saying goodbye to Jackson.  I started to walk away then saw him crying so I had to go back and give him hugs again.  Melted my heart, he's so sweet.  However, Tegan had him laughing not five minutes later so he got over it.  And, might I mention, never mentioned me again the rest of the week!  Hahaha!

We got in super late Friday night, it was so weird traveling without kids!  We watched a movie, read, talked, rested, etc on the plane.  Saturday we slept in, had breakfast, hung out at our hotel, then headed out for lunch and bowling...

Saturday afternoon we headed over to see my Grandpa Barraclough.  My grandma died almost 9 years ago and I miss her so much.  My grandpa is 92 and is finally starting to lose it a little bit.  He is surprisingly healthy for a man his age but recently had to move to a care center because of a few minor problems.
I don't think he really knew who I was, and kept claiming he had a third wife (which he didn't) but she died and, "despite what they may tell you, I had nothing to do with her death."  Hahaha, I'm so glad I was able to spend time with him.  He was really lonely and didn't want us to leave.

After we left the care center we shopped for a couple hours then headed back to the hotel to relax and freshen up a bit.  That night we met my other grandparents for dinner!  They live in Oregon and Utah but were in town to pick up my sister's kids because they watched them the week we were in McCall.  They took us to a YUMMY steakhouse and we had so much fun with them.  My great aunt Ruby (my grandma's sister) came too...
Loved this full rainbow when we came outside...

Sunday we met up with my dear friend Tara for lunch (we forgot to take a picture, which is probably for the best...Tara and I have a track record of taking bad pictures!) then headed out to McCall for a week of fun on the lake!  It was a really nice relaxing weekend with Parker.  It was so nice to be just him and me for a few days.  We really bonded and enjoyed our time together.  I love you babe thanks for an amazing weekend!!

Next post of McCall coming soon!!!

Family Fun Day

Saturday we decided to beat the heat and stay indoors.  It has been 100+ the last couple days and it is miserable, too hot even for the pool!  We took the boys to Madagascar 3...

They don't look happy here because it was during the previews and they were getting bored and anxious for the movie to start...

It was a super cute movie and Josh was cracking up laughing...
Then we stopped for dinner at Logan's Roadhouse, it was good but Josh was really tired and Jackson had a tummy ache so Parker, Tyce, and I ate while the other two just drank their milk...
Looking at the ducks in the pond...

This was Sunday morning and I thought they looked so handsome...
The update on the Morrill household:  we found out that poor Josh has Lyme Disease which explains his complete lack of energy and motivation the past couple months.  He has been very fatigued so we had his blood drawn at his 6 year well child visit.  He is now on antibiotics for three weeks and hoping he gets feeling better soon.  Speaking of their 6 year visits, Jackson was in the 90% for height and 50% for weight.  Josh was in the 50% for both.

Tyce's "Special Marker"

Tyce has had a large birth mark on his left hand ever since he was born.  Last Sunday in church Tyce noticed it for the first time!  He leans over to me and says, "uh oh mommy I have a burn on my hand!"  I told him that was his special mark, which he now calls his special marker.  He is really proud of it which I think is hilarious and cute.  Yesterday he asked me to take a picture of his special marker so grandma could see it, hahaha...

Happy 4th of July!

We had a nice fourth of July this year, despite the fact that it was SO hot!  We went to the gym, went to Walmart so the boys could spend their birthday money, home for lunch, nap for Tyce and pool for me and the twins, then we went to our friend's house for a BBQ, then off to Signal Hill Park to watch fireworks!  We ended up seeing three other families from the ward so we all sat together which was fun.  We got great seats where we could see both Manassas City and Manassas Park City fireworks so we got two shows!  The boys had fun and I'm grateful to live in this wonderful country and enjoy the daily freedoms we do.

Here are some pics we took during the fireworks show...

Also a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Grandpa Bybee who is lucky enough to have a 4th of July birthday so the whole nation can celebrate him!  I love you grandpa!!!

Tyce's Prayer

Tyce is at such a cute age right now, he is learning so much and growing up but still says such cute things.  I thought his prayer tonight was sweet...

"Heavenly Father, please bless Jack Josh like to sleep with my owl and my bear (he loaned out his stuffed animals to his brothers tonight).  Please bless prophet, President Monson.  Please bless mommy have fun at girl's camp, but not us, we just drive in the car to pick her up.  Bless we love everybody.  Name of Jesus Christ, amen."

I went in during story time tonight to take a cute picture of him but apparently the flash was too bright...

Story time with daddy, the best part of the day...
Nothing too exciting going on around here.  I survived a week of girl's camp complete with dirt, bugs, extreme heat and humidity, head lice drama (I didn't get it thank heaven), and a huge storm.  I love my calling (Stake Young Women's Secretary) and love the girls in our stake so it made it all worth it.

Things we are looking forward to: in 10 days mom and Tegan come out to watch the boys for us while Parker and I go to McCall for an adults only vacation with my family!!  We are super excited.  When we get back our stake has the Youth Conference Dance Festival which is going to be awesome.  Then mom, Tegan, and the twins fly back to Utah.  My mom is picking them up and bringing them to Oregon for 8 days with most of the cousins.  They are super excited about that and I'm excited for some alone time with Tyce.  And the really awesome part is my little sister and baby Luke get to fly the twins back so I get to see them too!!!  So much fun.
