We went out to Neola for New Year's eve weekend and had a great time! Michelle and I took the boys to the rec center to swim...
And out to ice cream (or toppings for Tyce)...I got to have lunch with my fun friend Becky who is moving to California! I will for sure miss her and having a friend in Neola but I am happy for her and her family...
Michelle had the super cute idea to make the boys goody bags to open every hour starting at 5pm. It was a HUGE hit and kept them awake all the way through midnight!
Not gonna lie, these pjs crack me up every time...
We played a fun game that Jackie introduced us to where you take turns cutting the flour tower that has a penny on top and whoever knocks it over has to use their face to get the penny...
One of the goody bags had SILLY STRING in it and my boys just about died. They couldn't believe Grandma would let them use it IN the house! The twins took off spraying everybody but Tyce, SO my son, just couldn't bring himself to make such a mess so he went OUTSIDE and sprayed his! Hahahaha!
They attacked Grandpa who was peacefully reading upstairs...
Tyce got sleepy about 11:30 but stayed awake!
A Morrill family tradition is at midnight to run outside around the house in the snow banging pots and pans...
Needless to say, my boys loved it...
Grandpa and Parker took the boys sledding...
So since Josh is injured we decided to let Tyce use his equipment and Parker took him and Jackson skiing/snowboarding on New Years Day. Tyce was SO excited...
We put him in ski school and he did really well! We really didn't know how he would do, he's not quite as naturally gifted as his brothers and can be whiny when he's cold or tired or something is hard. Well, he sure surprised us! He loved it, no tears, and did awesome. His instructor said his only weakness was mental, apparently Josh's crash really worried him because he kept telling his instructor "I don't want to run into trees like my brother Josh did." Hahaha. When he called me during lunch break he said "mommy, I'm pretty worried because this mountain has LOTS of trees I could run into!" On a side note, after Josh got hurt we talked as a family about how lucky and happy we all were that Josh's accident wasn't more serious. Tyce said, "if something bad happened to Josh I'd be so sad, like as sad as if the Nationals were in the championship and they lost!" Hahaha, it was cute because in his mind that's the worst thing that could happen.
It snowed most of the day and Parker said Tyce had his tongue out and was catching flakes all day...
Jackson is getting more and more comfortable on the snow board and is finally on his own now!
Jason and Luke met up with them for a few hours and, other than a miscommunication between Jason and Jackson and Jackson getting lost and having to use a stranger's phone to call Parker, they had a great day!
We've been getting lots of snow and Chester loves it!
I've been dreading putting all the Christmas stuff away and one afternoon I finally decided to suck it up and get going. I made a comment like, oh man this is a lot of work, under my breath and Jackson must have heard me and offered to help me instead of play with his brothers. He was SUCH a big help and it made it faster and more fun for sure! He even carried the big heavy ladder in, set it up, climbed up it, and got the ornaments down!
Then he decided to surprise Parker and SHOVEL THE ENTIRE DRIVEWAY!!! He didn't even tell me he was going to do it, he didn't wear any snow gear, and shoveled for almost three hours. He sure loves his daddy and I love how sweet, thoughtful, and hard working he is! When Parker came home from work Jackson was so proud...
He deserved good Luna snuggles that night in bed...
I thought it was funny when I came home from the gym one day and each kitty had their own couch...
After I showered I came back out and Brody and Chester were snuggling like this...SO stinkin cute!!!
Josh has been LOVING the snow and goes sledding almost every day after school. Him and his two friends Gannon and Beaux walk over to the church sledding hill and play till dark (or past dark if I let them)...When will Tyce learn to eat messy things without using his ENTIRE hand? The other night he was eating a bread stick and of course has to use his whole hand and get so messy...good thing he's so dang cute right?!
Speaking of cute...love that this is Luna's favorite place to hang out and if you walk by her she'll try to attack you (I say try because she has no claws and she doesn't move hahaha)...
Parker's parents came to watch the twins basketball game, they came back from a 2-10 deficit to win 15-12! Josh is not 100% yet with his leg but he tried his best and did well. Jackson was a defensive star and also had some great shots!
And last, my NOT least, my sweet Grandma! We had her over for dinner last night and then played games...
