THEO!!!

Warning if you don't like cats skip this post!  And I am not even going to apologize for the million cat pictures because he's so stinkin cute!

A few months ago Parker and I decided we wanted to get the boys a kitten for Christmas.  We were all missing Brody and thought a friend for Chester would be nice, him and Brody were especially close.  As it got closer we were getting worried because there really weren't many kittens up for adoption anywhere!  It's not kitten season and lots of people adopt kitties for Christmas.  One day Parker and I both got off work early and we headed up to Salt Lake to check out the Humane Society and animal shelter.  On our way he saw some kittens for sale by owner so we stopped there first.  There was a cute calico kitten that I really wanted but Parker didn't feel she was the right one.  He convinced me to go look at the Humane Society and animal shelter before making a decision.  I am SO glad he did because we went to the Humane Society and met this guy...

As soon as we walked into the kitten room Parker and I both saw him in the back of one of the cages and were like, he's the one.  We got him out and I took him over to a corner so no one else would try to adopt him haha.  Aside from his adorableness, we loved his personality.  He was cuddly, playful, not skiddish...perfect.  So, we took him adopted him!!!
Our original plan was to bring him to my friend's house until Christmas so we could surprise the boys Christmas morning with him.  BUT...when we got in the car to leave, Parker and I both looked at each other and said, there's no way we can leave him there we want him home now!

So we brought him home for an EARLY Christmas present!!!

Needless to say...they fell in love too...
As expected, Chester and Luna were not fans of the new little guy...

I LOVE  his face!!!

He quickly learned how to drink out of the sink...

He loves cuddling up by our faces...

He sleeps with us every night...

He loved playing under the Christmas tree and was such a good boy!  No broken ornaments!

This is my fav picture of him, hahahaha...

We have had him for not even two months and are just in love!  He is super cuddly, loves to be held, loves to play either with us or by himself, he's super patient and calm with kids, not skiddish at all (this was really important to us), greets us as soon as we walk in the door, plays FETCH, oh and did I mention he's ADORABLE?!  Luna really doesn't like him, which we expected.  Chester no longer hisses or growls at him but they still aren't cuddling like we had hoped.  Fingers crossed they will be best friends in no time!  We love you Theo!  Welcome to our family!

Cousin Sleepovers and Other December Fun!

I've never been this far behind on my blog but it's just a busy time of year!  The boys are occupied so I thought it'd be good to sit down and crank a few out.  This all seems like ages ago but here we go...

Lindsay and Jason went out of town so I watched their kiddos.  Audrey was still in her "I hate all people except my mom and babysitter" stage so she was NOT happy to be at Auntie Jenn's house!  Which made me so sad!  She cried the whole drive to my house then settled down.  I made her lunch and she wouldn't eat unless Emma was standing right next to her (she adores Emma and Emma is such a good big sister to her!).  Here's her face when Emma walks away...

So she was pretty tough most of the time since she hated being there BUT she slept like an angel!  She went to bed without a peep and slept...FOR FIFTEEN HOURS!!!

The one time all three kiddos sat still the whole weekend hahaha...
Their babysitter had braided Emma's hair and when I took it out it looked GORGEOUS!
So I had her wear a shower cap in the tub so we could keep it cute for church the next day...
Have you ever seen someone so ADORABLE in a shower cap?!
That night we had a movie night with Poulsen boys and Lindsay's kids...
Josh and Emma, SUCH cuties together...
Hayden, Luke, and Tyce chowing down on their popcorn...
Bridger and Jack....
Gannon "you didn't get me in any pictures!"...
Josh reading to Emma who was giggling like crazy...

These two are best buds...
Just like Lindsay's other two kids, I could always cheer Audrey up with food and I love that she just helps herself to my pantry...

Sunday after church they all headed out to play in the snow!

While Audrey and I did laundry...
Twins are playing Jr. Jazz this year and having fun.  They've won all but one of their games so far...
Grandma Morrill came to cheer them on!
 And Zae!
 Black eye for Josh...
So the weekend after we had Lindsay's kids we had ALL the cousins (except Audrey because she wouldn't have had fun and Abbi who is away at college) over to draw names for our cousin gift exchange and have a sleepover.  Here's my entry way...
 Movie time!

Saturday morning run in the snow while the kiddos play!

Then back to make pancakes for everyone...

 More playing in the snow...

3rd annual gingerbread house party with our bffs!  Kesti and I were smart this year and bought the PRE ASSEMBLED ones!

I love love love snow storms!  They are so beautiful and calming...
Funny story, so Parker is on the couch watching TV and I'm going to the bathroom...who do you think Tyce asks to quiz him on his spelling words???  Yep!  Me!  I told him to go ask daddy and shut my door!
Parker's Uncle Stewart passed away pretty unexpectedly so we all headed up for the funeral.  It was a beautiful service and Bart (his only brother) gave a fabulous talk.  It was really fun to learn more about their childhood and growing up.  Here we are at the graveside...
Wish Jackie and Tegan could've come but here's the rest of the Morrills!
 Morrill men=bald men!
After that we all headed down to my house for dinner and a white elephant gift exchange...

 Game time!

So much fun with family and friends!  More to come!
