And So It Begins...

Now I know that all kids, at one time or another, lie to their parents. I just can't believe it starts at age 4. Jackson told his first official lie today. Up until now he hasn't really understood what a lie was, but now he knows, and he lied. I was downstairs taking care of a FUSSY Tyce and I started to wonder where the twins were. I called for them and they came downstairs and Jack had something behind his back. This was our conversation:

Me: Jack, what were you two doing up there?
Jackson: Taking, I mean...looking at pictures.
Me: Oh you were just looking at my photo albums?
Jackson: Yes mommy.
Me: So you weren't TAKING pictures?
Jackson: No...
Me: What's that behind your back? A camera?
Jackson: Yes, we couldn't find ours so we took yours.

Haha, then of course smart Josh is like..."IT WASN'T ME! I just watched!" Hahaha. It was not a big deal, but it made me sad. I don't want my kids to lie to me. And they will. I know my parents will laugh when they read this because I did it to them! I guess it's just part of parenting...wish me luck!

Here is the PROOF that they were taking pictures...

Haha, like all the artwork taped up above our bed? That is so "mommy and daddy can think about us every night before they go to sleep." Haha, precious Josh, so thoughtful. How do I explain to them how tacky it looks? I guess I don't.

Fun in the Fort

The boys love it when I scrub floors because then they get to make a fort with all the kitchen chairs. This morning was particularly cute because it was the first time Tyce was able to play with them in there. Unfortunately Jackson has a really bad tummy ache so he didn't have much fun and ended up going upstairs to lay in bed with daddy (who is home sick today). Once my floors were clean I grabbed some pictures...

Poor Jack...
Cute guys! Nothing else all that exciting going on. Looking forward to our family trip in Eagle Crest in a month! Still on my diet, it's not getting any easier yet, but I'm not giving up! Goodbye chubby Jenn!

Tyce's First Steps

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! We've had a good day so far, Parker got breakfast in bed, then we went to church, came home and opened presents, and now dinner is in the oven. I think it's safe to say that Parker is a HAPPY dad today. We all love him so much and feel so blessed he is the leader in our home. He has big shoes to fill from MY dad, and he is doing well. Parker is loving, patient, calm, and everything the boys need and everything I need. WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!!

Here's a framed picture of them playing baseball... Opening his present from me...
A new phone! Yay! The Incredible! He was very surprised and very very excited. Needless to say, he'll be on it 24/7 for a while but that's ok...Tycee was a mess after lunch so we threw him in the sink and Parker was making him laugh...Playing pacman with the boys...So TYCE likes to play in my cabinets and pull everything out, which I understand because he's 10 months old...however, when my FOUR year olds do it, not so cool...

Tyce is walking like crazy today so Parker took a video (with his new phone) and will post it on my blog sometime today so CHECK IT OUT! It's too cute and he is doing SO well!

I also want to say Happy Father's Day to my amazing dad, father in law, and grandpa...I LOVE YOU ALL!

Stay tuned...update tomorrow on week 1 of my diet!!!

Happy Birthday Dad!!!

So my dad's birthday is the day before the twins' birthday but he kinda got overshadowed by all the excitement surrounding Jackson and Josh, sorry dad! But we did manage to have a little party for him (his first Spiderman party in 53 years). He got some hilarious cards from his wonderful daughters and wife. =) I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DAD! You are amazing!

Gotta love Jack digging in his nose while Grandpa opens his present... Laughing at Lindsay's card...
Laughing at my card...His birthday waffle (we were pretty caked out after Christine and the twins' birthdays)...

Birthday Fun Part 2...

After ice cream we came home and the boys got their big present...BIG BOY BIKES FROM GRANDMA AND GRANDPA BARRACLOUGH! Parker and I got them helmets, knee pads ("kneeding pads), elbow pads, and gloves which they were almost equally as excited about, haha. We took them out and they actually did really well, only a couple little falls. The problem is that it is SO dang HOT and HUMID out here we can only be out for so long! Have I mentioned lately how much I hate summers out here? Anyways here are some pics of the boys on their bikes...
After bike riding we opened other presents, they love these books from Grandma and Grandpa Barraclough...Puzzles...They got big boy baseball bats which they were super excited about...So my Grandma Bybee sent them each a card with $20 in it. Usually they could care less about money but Jackson was SO excited to get "tickets." Haha, all day he walked around with his tickets. Cracked me up. Then we took them to a park so they could ride their bikes on the trail and play baseball. Auntie Lindsay got them a T set so they had a T and bases and they had the whole diamond to themselves. It was too cute watching my dad pitch to them and watching them run the bases. Suddenly, they were so grown up...This is how Josh would stand at every base, hand on hips and tongue sticking out...Then we came home and did the cake, rather quickly because they were so tired...I had planned on getting a Spiderman ice cream cake from Baskin Robins but I decided it just wasn't worth the money. They get excited for a minute then it's over and I paid $30, haha. Also, they each ate about 2 bites of their cake anyway. SO...we did rainbow chip cake...Where was Tyce? He was busy pulling apart all the crepe paper...Not the best picture but it's all we got...

It was a fun celebration and I'm SO glad my parents were here to share it with us. I can't believe my twins are 4, it really does seem like yesterday they were 3 pounds in my arms hooked up to all sorts of machines. I remember wondering if they would grow to be healthy and normal...and I am so blessed that they did. They had their 4 year check yesterday and all went well. Jackson's height is in the 85% and his weight is in the 75%. Josh's height is in the 10% and his weight is in the 50%. I will do individual posts on them later. Next up: my DAD'S birthday! June is a crazy month!

In other news, I started the Live the Life diet today. My little sister and I are doing it together. It's a 12 week nutrition/workout plan that I'm excited about but I know it will be a challenge. No sugar for the first four weeks and if you know me at ALL, you know that will be the hardest thing in the world for me. Anyways, I am going to do updates on my progress every Monday! Wish me luck!

Birthday Party Part 1...

WOW what a fun weekend! My parents came back into town on Thursday evening and Friday we celebrated Jackson and Josh's 4th birthday! Their actual birthday is today but my parents were leaving today and Saturday was my dad's birthday so we figured Friday would work well. Anyways...the night before we stayed up late decorating... Parker was working on putting their new big boy bikes together...
Friday morning the boys had to run through the "finish line" to symbolize that they turned 4! Then we headed off to the park...
They love the rock wall...This was hilarious. Tyce was trying for about 15 minutes to climb to the top of this. Everytime he would get SO close, he would slide down. Haha, we were laughing so hard. He was so persistent! He never gave up and never got frustrated! Then we picked up Parker from the train station (he only worked a half day that day) and went to Nathan's for ice cream...yummy!!!Can you tell that Joshy loved his chocolate ice cream?

Well I figure that's enough for this post, I don't want a picture overload! But to come: adorable pics of the boys on their new bikes and playing baseball with their new bats, balls, and T set! Stay tuned!
