Our New Place...

Well we worked hard this weekend and got a lot done on the house. Parker cleaned out the garage and it looks great now! He also hung a lot of stuff on the walls which makes it feel more like home. I like the house, it feels quite big to me (it's over 2000 square feet) which is both good and bad. I feel like there's always something that needs to be cleaned! It's 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. On the main level is the family room, kitchen with eat in area, formal dining room, and a half bath. Downstairs is a fairly large rec room with a full bath (that's where our guests will stay). Upstairs is the laundry, all three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. I like our neighborhood, I've met a few of the neighbors who were very nice and it feels very safe here. I also like that it is about an 8 minute walk to the train station so the boys and I walk over to meet Parker when he gets off work every day. His commute is an hour on the train but he doesn't mind it, it gives him some quiet alone time in between work and home. He gets home about 6:30 in the evenings which isn't too bad.
Here are some pics...
This is the front of our townhome...
This is the formal dining room which we use as an office, it's pretty big and empty right now...Here's half of the rec room...Here's the other half of the rec room...Front entry, don't mind Brody's scary eyes, haha...Here's the kitchen, which seems bigger than it looks. The cabinets are nice but they go really high! I hate my dishwasher but other than that I like it...Eat in kitchen...Family room (notice Parker's new 50 inch plasma!)...Tyce's room...My least favorite part of the house, 34 stairs!!!Master vanity, I love the double sinks but hate not having drawers!I love our master bathroom, especially the big soaking tub!

I love our master bedroom, it's HUGE and has a walk in closet which we are loving. The one thing that has been hard is not having a backyard. We have a little grass patch out the door from the rec room but it's not fenced in so the boys can't just roam free like they were used to over the summer. Oh well, we knew we couldn't have it all! So good job Parker on finding us a place! =)

Jackson's Wish...

Today I was giving Tyce a bath and the boys were, of course, "helping" me. This was our conversation:

Me: Do you guys like having a little brother?
Josh and Jackson: YA!
Me: Should mommy have another baby? (Not that I'm really considering it)
Jackson: Ya, but I want the new baby to have BROWN skin and BLUE eyes mommy, like my friend Cally.

Hahahaha, apparently he has an imaginary friend-Cally-who has "brown skin." He talks about her a lot and I have no idea how she came about. BUT, that is a tall order....to make a "brown skin" baby. I'll have to talk to Parker about this one, haha.

I couldn't decide which one I liked best...Not Tyce's best picture, but cute of the twins...
We're getting everything hung on the walls this weekend so I will post pics of our place next week! Also, Parker gets his bar exam results today!!! Ah!!!

Tyce Update...

I feel like with all the craziness going on I have neglected blogging about Tyce! Most people do posts about when their babies turn one month or two months and so on, but I've been slacking. Anyways Tyce is almost 7 weeks and is doing well. At his 2 week check he was in the 25% for head, height, and weight. I can't say he's the easiest baby, he definitely cries more than the twins ever did. He doesn't seem content very often, which we're still trying to figure out why. He has reflux, which I'm sure isn't helping matters. We're still trying to find a pediatrician out here but I want to get him in soon to get his weight checked. The good news is that at night he goes back to sleep right after feedings, which is nice. And when he IS content and awake he is SO cute! I have even gotten him to smile at me! He has an adorable smile that we all just love.
The boys are still doing well with him, they adore him and whenever he cries they try to make him feel better. Lately, every time Tyce cries Jackson says..."me thinks he is crying so because (Jackson's favorite phrase, so because) he misses daddy. That's why I cry." Hahaha, it's so cute.
SPEAKING of Jackson...he has gone from mommy's little angel to mommy's little, well, not nice kid! I don't know if it's just all the change or what but he has become SO difficult. He literally cries and throws fits over EVERYTHING and I am sick of it. Any suggestions? I've tried talking to him, loving him, cuddling him, spanking him, time out, and ignoring him. Nothing seems to work. But with him screaming and Tyce screaming I think I just might lose it. Especially considering this house echos like crazy!!!
As far as the house, pics are to come I promise. It's a nice place, just lots of stairs (34 to be exact). Houses out here are just so tall! We have made a few friends and Parker is loving his job. We are going to Ohio this weekend to watch Parker's sister play volleyball so that should be fun, although the 6 hour drive could be interesting with the three kids.
Here are some of Tyce's various sleeping positions...

Tyce's Baby Blessing...

Tyce had his baby blessing last Sunday in Lehi and it was everything I had hoped for. Parker gave him a beautiful blessing that really seemed to focus on his understanding of the gospel. It was so nice to get everyone together before we left for DC, unfortunately some people I was hoping to see weren't able to come (Labor Day weekend and all) but at least all our family was there! After church we had a luncheon at my grandparent's condo in downtown Salt Lake (thanks again Grandma!) and then Monday morning...we were off to the east coast! It was very depressing saying goodbye to Parker's fam on Sunday and then my fam Monday at the airport. Most of us kept our tears to ourselves (ok, except my mom, Michelle, my grandpa, Lindsay, Dana, and me). The flight went well, all three boys were surprisingly well behaved and a couple different people commented on how well behaved our kids were! Ha, if only they REALLY knew! Just kidding. =) It broke my heart hearing the boys say, BYE UTAH when we were taking off. It's not that I'm in love with the STATE of Utah (although I sure do love the mountains) but I miss everyone there! I've lived there for eight years and it felt like home in a lot of ways. Anyways, we are getting settled in and soon I will post some pics of our place. But for now...here's some pics from last weekend...

I was glad to have captured this moment between Grandma Barraclough and Tyce...Tyce in his tux...My wonderful in-laws...This is Tyce's favorite shirt, I'm pretty sure... =) Daddy and his boy...
The original Barraclough five...
My whole side of the family...
Our dear family friend Nicole flew in from Oregon just to be here for this! We love you Mickey-Micole!!!
Our friends Taylor, Justina, Aiden, and Eva all came too!!!
My friend and the best workout partner ever, Jenna, so hard to say goodbye...

Ok so now I'm all depressed again. =( I miss everyone!!!

PARKER IS HOME!!!

The 18 days is over! Parker is home! We moved out of Morrill's house Friday and drove out to pick up Parker from the airport. It was SO cute watching the boys run to their daddy, they could not have been more excited. Ok, so I was excited too. =) 18 days is too long for Parker and I, we just don't do well being apart. Anyways, we are spending the weekend in a hotel in Salt Lake with my parents, blessing Tyce on Sunday, then heading to DC Monday morning! I thought I'd do a quick post since things will be hectic for a while.

Here are some pics from the airport last night...

Here's Jack riding on daddy's suitcase...
