Tyce's 8th Birthday Party!

Today we had Tyce's 8th birthday party!  He invited 28 kids and 25 came!  It was a little crazy but mostly confined to my backyard so not too bad!  So glad all his cousins and friends were able to come celebrate with him, he is my social butterfly so he was in heaven with everyone there to play with!

Emma and Anna...
Playing on the tramp...
Water gun fight...

 Linds and baby Audrey...
A bunch of the neighbor kids...
Bridger and Kyson playing with the balls on the tramp...

Kai having fun on the bouncy slide...

THESE TWO, so cute!  Apparently they have crushes on each other and it was sure noticeable!  They played together pretty much the whole party, sat by each other, and she ended up smashing cake in his face!

The whole clan, minus a few Stathises who were in the basement...
 Pizza time...

Cake time...

These two were competing for Tyce's attention all afternoon...
Maybe some cake in his face will help?
Our attempt to get a pic with wiggly William...
 Then we gave up...
SO glad Traci and her kids were able to come to the party and I was able to see her one more time before she heads back to Virginia.  Saying goodbye, again, was so so so hard.  How I love this friend of mine!!!

Tyce was beyond thrilled to get Boss Baby from Kai and Zae!
And Pokemon from Dylan and Abby!
And he got a mine craft suitcase from Grandma and Grandpa Morrill!  He is SO excited to be able to stuff it full of animals to roll over to Bridger's house...

His friends spoiled him with awesome and thoughtful gifts...

 Look at all his loot!
The party was a success, everyone seemed to have fun, and most importantly...my sweet Tyce felt loved!  His real birthday is Monday and we will celebrate as a family....IN MCCALL!!!!  We leave tomorrow morning for a week in heaven!

Girls Trip, Jack's Crash, and More Fun!

While I was at work one day Bart and Michelle came out and took my boys and Christine and her boys to lunch and to Scheels...

Kesti took them swimming one day too while I was at work...
These two...always dressing up and playing imagination!  I love it...
What mom?  I look super cool like this!  This kid LOVES his roller blades, LOVES those ugly camo socks, and LOVES his speedo swimsuit...
Off on his roller blades to deliver his birthday invitations...

Jackie flew in on Wednesday for our girls trip and it was her BIRTHDAY!  We went to Cheesecake Factory for a yummy dinner and chatted nonstop for over two hours!

Friday it was time for SISTERS WEEKEND!  Christine had the wonderful, and long overdue, idea to have a girls getaway sans kiddos and husbands.  We, amazingly, were able to find a time that worked for everyone!  We stayed in Salt Lake at the Grand America and enjoyed every second of it!

Friday night we headed up to Park City and stopped at Ruth's Diner in Emigration Canyon on our way.  It was yummy!
We had way too much fun in the car driving to and from Park City.  We were rocking out to 90's music dancing and singing and lots of laughing...

Mom decided to take a roll home from Ruth's diner, wrapped up in a napkin, in her purse...kinda an old lady thing to do so we kinda had to tease her a bit  :)  She was a good sport...
Shopping in Park City...
Lost in deep thought in an art museum...
We decided to put on our hotel robes and make a music video.  Suffice it to say, we're destined for the big leagues.  We rocked it...

Saturday morning breakfast at Little America!  So delicious!
After breakfast time it was time for our BIKE RIDE AROUND DOWNTOWN SALT LAKE!  We rented bikes and headed out in the heat to explore!  We wanted to see Tegan's new apartment and ride around the University of Utah campus (and by "we" I mean Morrills!)  But it was super fun, highlights included stopping at 711 for slurpees and the old cashier taking a liking to us and giving us all discounts  :)

 Christine keeping us safe...

Tegan was pretty pooped after our bike ride...
POOL TIME...
Mom and Tegan fell asleep in the exact same position...
Dinner at PF Changs, because the Chinese place we originally pulled up to looked super shady...
Then we laid outside in the courtyard of the hotel and made wishes on stars and fountains...
Sunday morning Jackie flew home early, Christine and I worked out, then we headed to the pool until time to check out...
On our way home we grabbed lunch at Freddys and some guy gave Christine his phone number, of course she threw it away as soon as I took the pic...
It was SUCH a fun weekend with my sisters and mother in law!  I love each of them and we all get along so well.  We are definitely making it an annual event!

That night we decided to go on a 14 mile family bike ride.  It started out all well and good...

Josh and Tyce got new bikes which they were very excited to try out...
We made it to the park and played for a bit...
Then decided to head back...
AND, Jackson rides his bike off a dirt hill and into a BARBED WIRE FENCE!  Tyce and I were about a mile behind Parker and the twins so I did not see it happen.  Parker left the twins on the side of the path to ride home and get the car to take Jack to the ER.  When Tyce and I got there Jackson had his shirt against his face to stop the bleeding and Josh told me he would need stitches.  I said, no I'm sure it's not that bad.  THEN he moved his shirt and I saw this...

It was BAD!  This was the fence he ran into.  He was shirtless and ran into this poky bush too so his torso and legs got cut up too...
As soon as Parker got there with the car I took Jack to the ER in Riverton...

The doctor there sent us to Primary Children's Hospital where a plastic surgeon could suture him up to reduce scarring.  It was a long wait and we were so tired but this kid was such an angel...

So they put him to sleep using Ketamine which was SO weird because he was "asleep" enough to not feel anything and not hear us but his eyes were wide open, bloodshot, and his pupils were going back and forth rapidly.  It creeped me out but worked!
When he was coming out of anesthesia he was so cute, kept saying "HI MOMMY" and "am I stitched up yet?" and "you are the best mommy ever, I love you so much, I don't know any other mommy that would be by her son's side through all this."  Hahaha, once the meds started to wear off he really wanted to go home but they made us wait another hour to make sure he was ok...

We got home about 4am and he crashed until 12 the next day...
We went to Lindsay's to play and poor Jack was hurting and sad, but luckily he was able to snuggle baby Audrey...

He really didn't want to play with anyone so he sat by himself on the swing set, it broke my heart...
Christine and her fam came too...

Cousin fun!
So since Tyce is almost 8, the primary presidency and scout leader came over to talk to Tyce about baptism, scouts, and Faith in God.  Tyce is SUPER excited about it and got started right away, going through his Faith in God book and reading the scriptures.  Three nights in a row he fell asleep working on it...

I came home one night from a bike ride to hear Tyce "let's see...so Lehi and his family went to Zarahemla..."  Hahaha, love this kid he is SO strong in the gospel and loves learning...
Josh and Tyce "snorkeling" in the tub...
Saw a chicken crossing the road the other day in front of me, made me smile...
Josh and his best buddy getting some morning snuggles in...
While we were at girls weekend Parker and Tyce got some time together because the twins were in Oregon!  He hung out at daddy's office for a while...
 And snuggled him in bed...
TRACI IS IN UTAH!  I've gotten to see her twice so far and this time her and the kiddos all spent the night at my house which was SO fun!  Traci and I went on a bike ride, talked nonstop, and the kids picked up where they left off playing "family" and other make believe games...

William LOVED the kitties but they didn't really love him until he learned how to pet SOFTLY!
Movie party for Tyce's friend Kyson.  He was told to bring something to sit on so Tyce carried his BANANA chair all the way over to the other horseshoe!
OFF TO PACK FOR MCCALL!!!
