March Update

Sweet Josh and Chester.  Chester is funny because he only likes to go outside at night!  He stays inside all day then as soon as it gets dark he meows to go outside!  We've never had a cat like that and I hope he is ok out there!

Luna, totally passed out like this...
Love how Tyce makes his bed every morning, this kid LOVES his stuffed animals.  Each one has a name (Pandy, Tigey, Longey, Sandy, etc) and a birthday written on his calendar.  He also keeps track on a piece of paper on his bulletin board who has gone on trips with him and who hasn't, "so no one gets sad."  I never want my Tyce to grow up!!!
Tyce and Bridger, they make such big messes together but they play SOOOO cute!  I love that they still play make believe.  They play for hours in their own little world and I love it.
Watching the birdies out the window...
So Tyce and I were packing for Virginia and I told him to lay out a few things for his backpack for the plane...this is what he lays out...hahahaha.  Needless to say, I made him condense a bit...
Waiting for our flight...
 Layover in Denver...
Traci, Leah, and Sarah picked us up from the airport and we went to McDonalds to let the kids eat and play.  They were quiet and shy in the car but as soon as we got to the play place they picked up right where they left off 8 months ago cute as ever!
Tyce loved his bed on the floor and loved watching movies before bed...
I made a book for Traci and the kids loved looking through it...
Tyce surprised his good friend Michael and it was SO cute...
We were lucky that when we came it was Kenshi's birthday so he got to see lots of his friends!

Sarah, Traci, and I had a girl's night out.  It was so fun and I LOVE them!
Traci made us Kefir...it was...interesting...
Traci, Sarah, and I took the kids to a new place in Manassas Mall called Billy Bees...

Lunch at the food court...
Cute Anna Banana making a birthday cake...
The whole clan...

Sarah, Traci, and their kids left and then Kimberly and Jake came to join us!  I was there for ELEVEN hours but it flew by chatting with my friends.   :)

Due to the snowstorm, Tyce was able to see his friends Kai and Kira too!

Drove by our old town home which made me all sentimental...
It SNOWED!
We only got three inches but it was enough to CANCEL MY FLIGHT HOME!  We were supposed to fly home Tuesday evening and I got an email on Sunday that said our flight was cancelled.  Traci and I spent 4.5 hours on hold with Southwest before finally getting a hold of them and rescheduling our flight for Thursday.  It was a late late late stressful (and hilarious at the same time) night but once it was booked we were super excited because we got two extra days together!!!
Snow cones...

Kenshi came over and they all performed a play for us!

Tyce and William playing trains...
They loved doing dog piles at night before bed...
Pseudo cousins!  Love these four together.  They played family/tornado in the basement for almost 8 hours straight.  They get along so well and their imaginations go wild together...
Ah, even though we got extra time I still wasn't ready to leave.  It was one of the best weeks of my life.  Living with Traci was so so so wonderful, we stayed up super late every night talking and laughing and just doing daily life together was so fun.  Tyce was an angel and entertained the whole time so I didn't have to do much parenting which was a nice break.  I was also so happy to see all my friends, I had such a good life in Virginia and feel so blessed that I met such special people and still stay in contact with them.
Picky Tyce didn't want any of the airport breakfast options so we decided a hot dog was a good choice, the smell made me gag that early in the morning!
We were both so so sad to go back to Utah but also so so excited to see Parker, the twins, the kitties, and all our new friends!

The boys were so excited when we came home, Josh especially.  He ran to me and hugged and squeezed me so hard and long.  He even got teary eyed.  None of my kids have ever been super clingy to either Parker or I but Josh really is a mommy's boy and doesn't enjoy when I'm gone.  It made me feel so good to see how much he missed me.  That night he said "I'm so happy you're home mommy. I mean I used to think you and daddy were 50/50 but with YOU gone it's like we have to go OUT to eat, do our own laundry, go to people's house after school, eat hot lunch, do our homework alone, remember everything, I really missed you."

While I was gone I had the twins all over the place because Parker had to work.  They went to Lindsay's, Parker's mom came out one day, my grandma came out one day, and they went to friend's houses a few days.  SO grateful for everyone for watching them for me!  Here are the pics Michelle sent me, as you can see they were thoroughly spoiled/entertained by Grandma Morrill!

Parker took Josh skiing on Saturday (Jackson was at a birthday party)

Sunday morning snuggles!
These two...
Monday was my grandma's birthday so I took her to breakfast...

And we visited my Grandpa, we miss him so much it just never seems to get easier...
I invited the twins entire basketball team over to play basketball in our driveway, they had fun and devoured almost an entire batch of my snickerdoodles...
Then today we had neighbor boys over to play!  I really love our neighborhood here, so many nice kids and parents close by...
They're resting from their VERY intense "tackle basketball" game.  Good thing these boys are tough because they were being pretty crazy!
Haha I looked out my bedroom window and the neighbor girls were trying to sneak up on the boys, hahaha...
My foot surgery is in two weeks which I am so dreading but just want to get it over with!  In other news...I GOT A JOB!  I am the new Bluffdale City Secretary/Treasurer!  I will go in next week a few days to meet people and what not but I won't start my regular hours until after my surgery and recovery.  It will be 25 hours a week and I'll only work when the boys are in school so I think it will be good!  Other than subbing I haven't been in the workforce for 11 years so this should be interesting!  Looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things, and making some extra money!!!
