Happy Mother's Day!!!

I had a very nice Mother's Day today, nothin too special but I did not have to wipe any poopy bums, deal with whining children, or cook so I'm pretty happy!!! We went to church this morning and Parker gave a great talk on mothers. Then we came home and I rested and read, ALONE AND IN PEACE which was wonderful. Then we went to Morrill's house and Bart made a yummy dinner and Parker made a yummy cake! Unfortunately my poor mother in law got really sick so she was upstairs most of the night. =( Parker and the boys got me two new books and a GPS system! I will most DEFINITELY be needing that in Washington DC! Thanks so much babe, I love you!!!!!! My mother in law is going to buy me a bassinet for the baby! I'm super excited!

I thought today would be a good day to tell three women in my life how much they mean to me since, as mothers, they certainly don't hear it enough.

First off, my wonderful mom...

How cute is my mom??? Too bad I didn't get any of HER genes (no offense dad). I love my mom so much and wish so badly I could've spent Mother's Day with her. However, she was at a resort in sunny southern California so I'm not sure if she missed ME too much! =) My mom is a woman of many strengths, heck she raised three daughters! What I admire most about her though is her ability to hold the family together. Growing up we had a hectic schedule with my dad either out of town, working, or doing Bishop stuff and my sisters and I running around with swimming, soccer, choir, social lives, and jobs yet somehow my mom always found a time to feed us together as a family. While she is an AMAZING cook, that wasn't the best part...the best part was family time. And now, as we are all older and living our own lives, she still finds ways to get us all together and that always leads to lots of fun, laughs, and memories. We weren't super close growing up but we have more than made up for that now. My mom is probably the person I call most with good news, bad news, questions, or just to talk. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MOM, AND AM SO LUCKY TO BE YOUR DAUGHTER!

Second, my wonderful mother in law...

I feel so incredibly blessed to have Michelle as my second mother. I really don't consider her a mother IN LAW, because our relationship seems as close as a mother and daughter can be after six years. She has raised five amazing children, one in particular, and I have to thank her for her help in making Parker into what he is today. I remember the first time I met Michelle I thought, dang it, he has a pretty mom now he's going to have high standards for me as I get older! Haha. She is pretty, inside and out. What I admire most about her is that she is a completely selfless person and also a very hard worker. I never see Michelle just lounging around or taking time for herself. She is always thinking of everyone else and always has loads of energy for her three grandkids. I LOVE YOU MOM AND HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

And last but not least, my wonderful Grandma...I know everyone thinks that their grandma is wonderful but, trust me, mine is the best. =) I feel so lucky to have a grandma that is so youthful, full of energy, and involved in the lives of her grandkids and great grandkids! We have always been close and I have SO many good memories of our grandma's nights with her when we were young. Even now, at 25 and living in different states, we are so close and I get to see her quite a bit when they come to town! What I admire most about my grandma is her love for the gospel, which governs how she lives her life and makes her a wonderful person. My favorite memory of my grandma is PLAYING GAMES! She is SO fun to play games with, and we all end up laughing till our stomachs hurt because she is so hilarious. She is always the life of the party and I love her. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY GRANDMA!!!

Thank you Parker!!!

Before...
After...My sweet husband installed my beloved ceiling fan in our room!!! Not that the candle stick light fixture we had in our room before wasn't BEAUTIFUL, haha, but I really wanted a fan in our room for those hot summer nights without air conditioning. It was harder than it looked and he didn't want to do it but he did it to make me happy...THANK YOU BABE!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

Cinco De Mayo Fun

We had a fun little party last night at Morrill's house for Cinco De Mayo. The boys were SO excited about the pinata, but they couldn't crack it so Parker took a swing at it! It broke so far and candy literally fell like confetti! It was really cool and the boys just loved it. We had enchiladas for dinner and mexican drinks in an ice bucket, which the boys thought was so cool. The weather was really nice and Christine is home from college for the summer so the boys and I were SO excited to be able to spend time with her! Here are some pics from the festivities...
Tegan, Christine, and Josh played a dancing game and Josh was shaking his booty!
Grandma and Jackson...
Auntie Christine and Josh...
Mommy and Josh...

Cute Josh...Jackson stashing starbursts in his pocket...
We made silly hats out of the pinata after it broke, look at all those goodies!

Daddy loved taking a swing at the pinata...

It was a fun night, thanks mom for your patience, work, and creativity!!!! We were driving home last night and I was thinking..."remind me again why I didn't want to move out here?" Haha, it's been great so far! Although I am NOT looking forward to the heat that is soon to come and I do really miss my friends and sisters. But, this is a one time thing and we're enjoying spending so much time with Morrills. =)

Potty Training Jackson...

Well it's Jackson's turn to be a big boy now! We started potty training him three days ago and he is doing GREAT! I really wasn't ready to potty train him yet and he was sick too so I wasn't sure this was a good time but Parker and his dad went to Lowe's and came home with a Bob the Builder toilet seat and Jackson was SO excited, he went potty right away! He has only had ONE accident (granted it was a poop accident, lucky for me) and he is so proud of himself! He is loving wearing unnerwears "just like Joshy." Josh is actually being very supportive and he does two big claps whenever Jackson goes potty, haha. Josh was so easy to potty train I thought, no way will I get that lucky again, but maybe I will! So far so good!
Here's my proud Jackson...

Funny story...the other day Josh was going potty and Jackson, of course, was in there with him. All the sudden Jack comes running into the kitchen with his shirt soaked. "Mommy, Joshy peed me JUST LIKE A RAINBOW!" Haha, apparently Joshy didn't check to make sure he was down and peed all over poor Jackson who was standing there watching him. It was both gross and hilarious! The joys of boys right!?

Cute Pics...

So I have a lot of cute pics of the boys that I haven't really blogged about so I figured I'd just post them all! Enjoy!

Jumping on the tramp...
Family picture before church...Cousin pic at the hotel...
Playing doctor....Getting ready to spend the night at Grandma Morrill's house, they LOVE their "pack packs"...

Picnic at Grandma's house...
Throwing rocks in the river, always a favorite thing to do...Jumping on the trampoline with daddy...
Chocolate milk "mus mus maches"...
The boys love the horses...
The whole Morrill fam...

Sorry about all the randomness! But now I've cleaned out my camera of cute pics! =) Things here are going well. We are LOVING having Parker home and he's gotten halfway through his "honey do" list. He will start studying for the bar in the next few weeks but we are really enjoying just having daddy around. This morning the pipe under our sink broke in half so now we are sinkless, which sucks. Doing dishes in the tub when you're pregnant is DIFFICULT to say the least. Good thing I have a sweet hubby who will do them for me! =)
