Christmas Season Fun

I LOVE the month of December, so much going on and my boys are so filled with the Christmas spirit and excitement that it just makes me HAPPY!  I don't think there's anything better than celebrating Christmas with little ones.  Here's what we were up to this weekend...

Our ward had a Christmas party, we were less than happy that it was at EIGHT IN THE MORNING but once we got over that we had fun.  :)  Here are the boys with Santa...

 Making ornaments...

 Breakfast...
Parker and Troy played a beautiful duet.  When I asked Jackson if he wanted to go up and listen to daddy play he said, "YES!  I hope someday, that will be ME playing the piano up there!"  It was too cute...

The boys have definitely been on their best behavior the past couple weeks (in part due to our elf on the shelf, Cameron, pics of him and the mischief he's been getting into coming soon) so they each earned a special night with daddy.  Josh's was last night and he stayed up late and watched a movie with Parker, Josh is such a night owl as he gets older I see many nights of him and Parker up late while the rest of us crash...

Jackson's special night is tonight and they are also watching a movie together...
I love that Parker does special nights with our boys.  They look SO forward to them and talk about them for days after.  Tyce has not earned one yet but has been a great sport about his brothers getting one.

Today after church we decorated gingerbread houses!

Josh and daddy...
Jackson and I were a great team and had fun working together...

Tyce's was a Mickey Mouse one and he was beyond thrilled when he saw it came with Mickey face candy and other Mickey stuff to decorate with...
Here's the finished products!!!  Josh said, "every year Jackson's is the best mommy, how come?!"  I told him it's because Jackson is slow and thinks it out.  Josh just starts decorating then later regrets things he put on there.  It is very indicative of their personalities.  Jackson takes twice as long as Josh to do most things but, because he's a perfectionist, they usually end up pretty close to perfect!  Josh is a corner cutter, doing things the fast and easy way so he can be done.  Lucky for him he is naturally very smart so, for now, this approach is working for him.

This week we are looking forward to our annual gift exchange with Leah, Sarah, and Anna, school Christmas programs, birthday parties, lots of holiday baking, and on Saturday the boys are getting one gift early!!!  Pics to come of that once it's set up.  :)
