Easter

The Easter Bunny came to our house on Saturday this year. We thought it'd be good to split up the "fun" stuff and the "true meaning" stuff. So we did baskets and egg hunt on Saturday, then went to church on Sunday. Jackson gave a great talk on Christ and the resurrection. Later that night we had a Family Home Evening lesson about it as well. Jackson and Josh really seemed to understand quite a bit, which made me so proud.

Saturday morning the boys woke up SO excited. They ran into our room at 7am but we made them wait until 7:30 so Tyce could sleep a little longer.

Easter baskets were in the basement bathroom tub this year.. Still pretty tired from getting woken up, but he got the hang of the egg finding thing pretty fast...

Tyce quickly found out that there was candy inside the eggs...They each got new jammies, bubble gun, book, and candy...Jungle Book..Lion King...New Batman jammies..New Spiderman jammies...They loved their bubble guns...Later on that day we painted toast...

It was a fun day. I love holidays with little kids, they make it so exciting! Nothing else too exciting to report. The boys were thrilled to be back at preschool after spring break. I'm looking forward to my parents coming end of May!

Day in Richmond

Friday morning we drove down to Richmond to meet up with my friend Daisha. We went to Marymont Park and looked at animals and enjoyed a picnic lunch. It was quite hilly but I figured if an 8 month pregnant Daisha could do it, so could I! The kids all had lots of fun!

Daisha's son Dominic, Josh, and Jackson... The whole clan...

The kids were all hungry about 20 minutes after we got there so we found a grassy area and had a picnic!Jack wanted his picture taken on this rock that he thought looked like a couch...It was so gorgeous and green there! Makes me NOT miss brown Utah!I wish Josh would've cooperated so we could've gotten a cute pic...

After we were done there we headed over to Daisha's to let the kids play so we could chat. It was fun talking to her, we've been friends since kindergarten and it's so weird we're both out here now. She is moving back to Salem soon though so I'm glad we got to spend some time together. Thanks for a fun day Daisha!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Last night we dyed easter eggs because the kids were finally feeling better. They were so excited and had lots of fun...

We gave Tyce plastic eggs...Parker looks very deep in thought in this picture. Maybe it's because Jackson just asked him to draw a buffalo on his egg, hahaha. Parker did a great job! Finished product...

They also each wanted to make a card for the Easter Bunny...

Holidays are SO much more fun with young children!

Sick Sick Boys

Tuesday we went to the gym then went to the park for 2 hours then came home for lunch. Jackson wouldn't eat his grapes because "they were making him cold." He asked if he could eat his lunch later, put on his jammies, and watch a movie. Shortly after he laid down, he fell asleep. My kids NEVER fall asleep during the day, especially not on the couch. I ran upstairs to fold laundry, came back downstairs to find this....
Haha, poor Jackson got up to go potty but then fell back asleep on the floor! So sad but so funny! I carried him back to the couch and he slept for another 2 hours...

Even Leah (the little girl I babysit twice a week) fell asleep...And Joshy fell asleep on the floor...Needless to say, they are all sick now. Tyce is fine, knock on wood. They both had really high fevers that would not go away with medicine and Jackson was complaining the back of his neck hurt. I was going to take them in to the doctor today but I think we've turned a corner and they're feeling better. We had plans today to go down to Richmond to meet up with my friend Daisha and her kids. The boys were so devastated they didn't get to go today so we're hoping they're good to go tomorrow!

My friend Kimberly braved the sick house today and brought Jake over to play with Tyce. He's 7 months older than Tyce but they are totally best friends. They are so fun to watch play...
I got my blog books out to show Kimberly and the boys loved looking through them. They kept asking, can we do that again? Can we go there? It made me sad though because most of the things they were talking about were things we did either at Morrill's house or my parent's house. I SO wish we lived closer!!! I won't go on and on about that, don't worry. :)

Tonight we colored easter eggs so I'll post on that soon. Let's hope everyone is healthy in the morning!!!

Daddy Day

Every Saturday Parker tries to do something fun with the boys for "Boys Day." I love boys day because mommy gets a break! This time he took the twins to the movie Rio. Sounds like they really enjoyed it (along with the Sprite, popcorn, and cadbury eggs!) Cute guys before the movie... They all looked so cute I had to get some pics...

What cute boys I have in my house! :) Nothing else too exciting going on around here. Tyce has been extremely whiney and fussy lately. With the amount of drool on him I'm hoping it's just that he's teething and not his terrible 2s coming already! A month from tomorrow my parents will be here! Yay!

Preschool Easter Egg Hunt

Yesterday Josh and Jackson had an easter egg hunt at their preschool. I volunteered to hide the eggs so I was able to be there when they found them, too cute. It was a difficult task hiding 100 eggs with Tyce following me picking up every one that I hid, haha, but I did it. Here are some pics... Joshy getting his first few eggs... I love that Jack would stop and smile for me despite his excitement...
Cute guys in their new clothes and shoes!
Opening all the eggs...

I have been very happy with their preschool this year and am so glad that we signed them up. They have learned a lot and, more than anything, it just makes them so happy. I can't believe they'll be done in a month! Then...oh my...kindergarten!

On a side note...the other day I left the kids alone in the tub for about 5 minutes while I made their beds and laid out their clothes for the day. When I came back in my bathroom floor was SOAKED! Josh was taking huge cupfuls of water and pouring it on my floor. Yes, he did. I asked him what he was doing, he said, "I was trying to make a pond!" 6 towels later, it was all cleaned up. Boys will be boys right!?

Bowling Field Trip!

Jackson and Josh had their preschool bowling field trip today. Their teacher asked me to chaperone which was really fun! Wonderful Traci kept Tyce for me so I didn't have to worry about him running around getting into trouble. My camera died so I only got a few pics... Eating lunch with Emily and Geovanny... Mommy and her little bowlers...
Their class...
They had so much fun coloring their bowling packets, listening to a story about bowling, bowling a game, eating lunch, then playing at the arcade. It was fun watching them interact with their friends and teacher. I was so proud of my boys. They are so well behaved and obedient (most of the time). I am so glad we decided to do preschool this year. We really debated about it because two at one time is pretty expensive but they really seem to love it and have learned a lot. One more month of preschool then we register for kindergarten! Oh my gosh, why can't they stop growing up?!
