Saturday was the ONLY Saturday for many months that we didn't have sports so we decided to take advantage and PLAY! We were going to take the boys to Kings Dominion and stay overnight but then we decided to save money and just stay in a hotel, and it was a fantastic idea!
Last minute we decided to bring Brody with us, he hates getting left behind and loves car rides...
As soon as we got there the boys were begging to go swimming, we had the place to ourselves the whole three hours we were there!
We had dinner in the hotel which the boys thought was so cool...
We all watched Hook then crashed around 11pm. Everyone slept until 8 then woke up and cuddled in bed for a while...
After breakfast we, of course, had to swim again! Luckily we were able to get a late checkout because they swam for another three hours!
All packed up and ready to go home...
This was a weekend that will stick out in my mind for a long time. The kids were really well behaved, sweet, appreciative, and we all truly enjoyed our time together. After dinner all three kids wrapped their arms around me saying thanks for dinner, for the hotel, for swimming, for bringing Brody, etc. At the pool Tyce's favorite thing to do was do a big family hug in the deep end then all go under water together...it was one of those moments where everything in life was just perfect. I am so lucky to have my family and for their individual personalities. I love that at this age they are still fairly easy to please, meaning we didn't have to do Kings Dominion...just getting away was enough for them! I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!
