Utah Trip Part 9

I spent my last five days in Utah with my in-laws out in Neola.  It was kind of fun to come back when everyone else was gone because Bart and Michelle were able to spend a little more time with my boys and me.  As much as the boys love their cousins I think they also enjoyed their one on one time with Grandma and Grandpa Morrill.  On the way out there we stopped for dinner and Jack lost a tooth!  Josh lost two on the trip and Jack lost one!   Busy toothfairy!

 They crashed that night...
We went to the Dinosaur Museum in Vernal...

We went to the rec center in Vernal also.  It brought back memories of five years ago when we were living out in Neola, I was pregnant with Tyce, and Christine and I would drive out to the Vernal Rec Center almost every day to work out!  I was running on the treadmill (holding my belly) until about 38 weeks!

Here's Tyce climbing...
 Jackson climbing...
 And Josh...
The pool had this awesome trampoline thing in the water and they could battle each other, do flips, you name it!  Needless to say, they LOVED it...

One night they spent the night out on the trampoline in the backyard.  Michelle slept out there with them (super Grandma!) so they wouldn't get scared but the next night they informed me that "they were brave now and didn't need an adult out there with them."  Hahaha.  I thought for sure they'd wake up with the sun but they all slept till after 9am!
After much ado to get uncooperative horses up to the upper pasture they finally got to ride "Jen"...
Tyce thought it was hilarious he was riding a horse with the same name as his mommy...

Michelle got this cute balloon game where you take turns rolling the dice, pushing in the pins that many times, and the first one to pop the balloon loses.  Jackson loved it...
Michelle had a bunch of pictures out so we got looking through them and she showed me this one of Parker holding his brother Justin who passed away after three days due to Trisomy 18.  I can't believe how adorable Parker is and look forward to the day I get to meet Justin...
The boys loved the Wii of course...
And jumping on the tramp!  Josh perfected his front, back, and side flip!
For sure the highlight of the week for them was the DRIVE IN!  They have never been to a drive in movie and were SO excited about it.  We saw Earth to Echo (kinda lame) but after that was Transformers so we found these guys wandering around...
Here they are in Grandpa's truck waiting for the movie to start!  Grandpa spoiled them with popcorn, candy, and soda...what more could these boys want?!
The last night the boys wanted to spend up at the cabin.  After walking around outside we came in and played Tellestrations, oh my gosh I can't draw worth beans and Josh is an awesome artist.  When we compared his dolphin to mine we all rolled on the ground laughing...
Grandma and Tyce were a team...
 Off to bed!
The next morning we set off on the hike that they do at Grandma's Camp...

Probably the highlight of the hike was when we explored an abandoned dude ranch!  It was called UBar Ranch and it was shut down in 2007 because of rock slides in the area.  It was very weird though looking through the lodge and the cabins because it looked like they had literally just up and left.  They was even a moldy pancake still on the grill!  It had been vandalized like crazy but so much stuff was left behind!  The boys thought it was super cool...
After the hike we came home, showered, got packed, and headed to Salt Lake.  We had decided to stay in a hotel close to the airport so we didn't have to get up at 5am and leave from Roosevelt.  The boys, of course, loved the pool and swam forever...

And, finally, off to bed for the LAST night's sleep in Utah...

I'M DONE!!!  Nine posts later, I'm ready to go back.  :)  We had such a good time, the kids were good, and we made lasting memories.  It is always so hard to leave family but we can just look forward to next summer where we get to do it all over again.  :)
